Declined somewhere else
Declined because a director lives outside the UK?
A director living abroad isn’t a reason to decline on its own, under our published criteria.
Why it happens
Verifying someone outside the UK takes more than a database lookup. Automated onboarding usually can’t do that cheaply, so it declines rather than looks.
What we look at, and what to have ready
What a person looks at
- That we can verify who each director is
- Who ultimately owns and controls the company
- What the business does, and how it gets paid
What to have ready
- A passport and proof of address for each director, wherever they live
- Your company’s registered number
- A recent example of how the business gets paid
This is how our published criteria treat it, not a decision about your company. A person decides, within five working days of a complete application. We’re not open for applications yet.
